Sled and ski

We were on a mission to play in all the recent snow since Monday, and we decided to test the snow out on both the sleds and skis in the White Pass area. We started the morning around Log Cabin and found about 10 cm of new snow sitting on the 30 to 40 cm of snow from Monday, making for some really fun conditions. We then transitioned to skis to check out recent wind effect higher up on Fraser Chutes. There was a bit of cross loading in the gullies from the past few days, but we mostly found soft, deep powder. From our travels, we suspected that you could probably find wind slabs on northerly to easterly aspects in steep and exposed terrain. But if you stick to terrain that has been sheltered from the wind, you are likely to have a blast in all this new snow, whether you are on a sled or skis!
