First time across the valley this season for me. No wind, warm Temps but held below zero but just it seemed. Lots of skin tracks to choose from going up no dogs. Lots of traffic lately! 10 to 15 of fresh fluff in old tracks. Under the thick trees is crusty in and out of the tracks at times. Able to find relatively untracked fluff on cats which made for good runs. Highway skin track made for fast travel up too. No whumphs, cracks or slabs in there. Some mild sluffing in steeper skiers rt terrain. No slabs seen in and around the area with the intermittent cloudy foggy skies. No Dogs had surprisingly good snow up high and able to find some untracked stuff too. Again No instability noted. Lower third was a bit rough especially under thick trees and when crossing the plethora of skin tracks and kick turns 😬 was able to ride all the way back to lower valley creek and catch skin track back to inbounds with out to much trouble though. Worth the trip.
