Did a test pit on a SW aspect to determine reactivity of Nov. 23rd SH. Results are as follows: -CTM16 SP down 35cms on Nov. 23rd SH -ECTN16 down 35cms on Nov. 23rd SH Our tests determined the Nov. 23rd SH to be stubborn in our specific location; however the line we skied had significant surface faceting, hence slab stiffness was low. There was signs of recent avalanche activity in the same drainage in wind-scoured areas, presumably where scouring is causing increased slab stiffness above the Nov. 23rd SH layer. No other significant PWLs or density changes were observed in the snowpack. Generally pretty right-side up. If you have any additional questions, please email me @ [email protected].
