We did a AST field day up in the Bujoux. No snow at the trucks and the trail up is pretty pounded out and icy in spots. Up around 1500 m we found some decent snow in the trees. As soon as you got out of the trees it was wind blasted and bare, not great riding. Great day, sunny and warmed up to about -10 We dug a pit in a small opening in big timber on a South West facing slope. Total snowpack was 130 cm, and there was very distinct layers down 25, 60 and 90 Cm. We had some reactions to our tests down at 90 cm in the hard range, but not clean breaks and no propagation in an extended column test. Snowpack was pretty bomber, but those layers will be worth watching in the future. Keep praying for snow!!
