Avalanche happened on lap 2 of our day. Rider rode out after first turn without issue.
A few things we noted.
-The initial avalanche was surprising given the lack of instabilities noted on our first lap but given the terrain and wind loading it should not have been completely unexpected. The run length, down through tight trees and the propagation through the entire slide path caught us off guard.
-Having been focused on the Feb 3rd pwl for the last few weeks, we may have not been thinking enough about storm slab instabilities.
-Hand shears on the way up did not give any cause for concern, it's possible these weren't done deep enough to test the sliding layer.
