Quick Observation
Snow coverage was good, better than we expected. No open creeks and gullies, and on Macdonald west shoulder the alders are still poking though but they were buried enough that you could ski over the tops or find routes between them. Deep powder conditions from NRC parking lot to the bottom of the bowl at ~1800m. We went up the bowl to 2100m. Snow in the bowl was more dense, some wind affect but not slab-y. Traversed over to MacDonald west shoulder for the ski down as NRC gully is unridable at this point- bigger alders in there would be hell to ride through. Bonus that we were the only group there for the day. Fresh lines!
