Chickadee Valley/Mt Whymper

Dug three pits relatively close to each other. Had sudden planar shear on all three at ~48cm down or 65cm from grade and CT-E4-6. One of the pits failed a second time on what I assume was the November crust at CT-E9. The other two remained stable after the first failure through CT-A10. Snowpack was 113cm total. ~40cm loose/fresh, ~38cm consolidated, ~35cm hard pack/ice (I’m new to this so here’s a legend just in case I messed up the acronyms: CT= compression test, E=elbow, A=arm)
