Backcountry Blues

Today we enjoyed a partly cloudy day with light winds and a few flurries at Hankin. We did not see any avalanches, and we did not get any significant test results. There was 5cm new snow overnight, with about 40cm on average overlying the rain crust. Below 1200m the snow was getting heavy today, with temperatures above 0C.
