Toured up to MacDonald West ridge. Experienced solar effect on lower elevations working it's way up through the day causing the top 20 cm to increase in density through the day. Wind effect on all aspects. At 1900m we observed a very thin (ca. 2cm) reactive wind crust. Small surface hoar at lower elevations (<1500 m)
