Quick Observation

Fantastic riding on 3 guardsmen. Lots of tracks (sled and ski/board) from past couple days. Skinned up to 1400m first run, about 1300 for 2nd run. No signs of instability on ascent/descent. Someone left a pit a couple days prior. Evidence of some slab from what looks like shovel shear test. Fairly frequent layering of snowpack in top 1m with fist hardness in upper 10cm and 4F hardness layers separated by thin, slightly faceted, 1F layers. 10-30cm ski penetration, hip deep boot penetration. Was concerned about wind slab and variable thickness snowpack at higher elevations and closer to the west face. The steeper couloir(s) at high elevation in centre of north aspect have slid since the last storm cycle.
