Quick report
Crew of 2 today traveled on our snowmobiles from tollgate store, thru skyline trails, and rounding out at bone springs shelter. Did mostly tree, low angle, and trail riding today as it was short day. 4800ft to high of 6600ft around bone. There were several red flags today with 6-12in of new snow, some wind loading north & northeast slopes, and poor cohesion noted in several areas on road banks & steeper slopes We dug a pit a 6600ft. There was more than 240cm at this north facing low angle location. New snow (11in) sitting on drought crust that started at beginning of Jan. Another Red flag 3in of one finger faucet soft sugar snow below this drought crust. It hasn’t bonded at all. We did column test and had full planar at 12 hits.
