Quick report

A quick shakeout tour around the backside to ride the glades to see the new snow and test gear and equipment. No signs of instability were seen. Total snowpack depth of 60-65cm on this NW aspect at around 8,100ft. Sustained SW winds was creating some small drifts on some NE aspects. Did not perform any snowpack tests, but dug a hasty pit and a 2-3cm crust of weaker snow was identified at a depth of 30cm in the snowpack as seen in the picture below. Riding conditions were better at higher elevations, and snow became heavier as you got down to the lower elevations.
