Quick report

Light wind transport from the SW was occuring throughout the day. Minor evidence of sun effect (roller balls, trees shedding) by the late afternoon in south facing terrain. New snow appeared to be well bonded; no cracking observed.

Snowpack

Above 7000' snow amounts rapidly increased to above 30cms of very unconsolidated dry powder in sheltered north facing terrain. Snow amounts in exposed terrain were slightly less, but still generally 25-35cms. A stiffer wind effected surface was occasionally encountered above 8000'.

Numerous loose dry in extreme terrain between 7500' and 8500' N-SE. Several natural D1 wind slabs at upper elevations in deposition zones below ridgelines and rock features.
