Quick report
- Collapsing
- isolated
We toured up toward Gash point and observed a large new slab avalanche in the bowl between gash knob and gash proper. It has a skin track leading to it and appeared to be skier-triggered. We went up the standard approach ridge to investigate and experienced several large collapses along the way. After determining that no one was buried or injured, and that ski tracks could be seen exiting the slide, we returned to gash knob to ski and found about 10 inches of heavy new snow with no other sign of instability other than rapid warming in the afternoon.
