toured Andesite Peak morning of 12/26 quite windy and snowy with a moderate amount of wind transport found a few inches of wet, wind transported snow on top of a zipper rain crust from the night before - this was sitting on top of less dense snow from previous storm some evidence of cornice formation, but unlike the forecasters, I did not kick the cornice to test the slope - I did not experience and signs of instability but I assumed wind loaded slopes below cornice would be reactive so I avoided those slopes good traveling and skiing conditions despite the stormy weather
