Quick report

Cracking

Collapsing
isolated

We went for tour in tamarack area to ID some old weak snow and find some good turns. Both proved successful. Travel and skiing conditions were supportable and enjoyable although still shallow. Most notable ob from the day was a large slope scale collapse on a NE slope NTL @ 9500k. Shooting cracks travelled possibly over 10 meters. We chose to dig in this area for that reason, and found as follows: NE Aspect , 9500k HS 60cm 60-45cm Fist (new snow) 45-10 4Finger (new snow + facets) 10- 0 Fist (depth hoar) ECTP11 x 2 //// ECTPV x 1 (failing down 50cm)
