Quick report
On my way to Carson Pass there was rain on my windshield driving over Luther Pass (~7800'). I observed recent and active small wet loose slides driving up Carson Pass. At the north Carson Pass SnoPark temps were above freezing, it was windy and lightly snowing. Stepping out of my skis, my boots penetrated about 30 cms into the soft wet snow after skinning a short distance from the SnoPark. Ski penetration on sunny slopes was approximately 5-10cms. On my tour up towards Red Lake Peak, I quickly noticed recent roller balls and wet loose activity. On small test slopes I could very easily create rollerballs that grew in size until the small steep slope reduced its angle and they stopped moving. Snow was slow and sticky on the descent.
