Quick report

Sun was out for a good chunk of the day with high clouds developing in the afternoon. Breakable crust up to pan point (soft on ski back), mix of very firm to fairly soft in spots above pan point. Warmer than expected with minimal wind until ~9K ft. From ~8.5k-10k the slight wind and colder air temp seemed to keep the snow firm through the day (think skiing large frozen scalloped potatoes). Below that the sun was warming the surface - pan point and below were fairly soft by ~2pm. I did not use ski crampons on pan point though they would have been nice to have for a couple small sections - given how warm it got today I would pack them if you're going out this weekend. I noticed a very small wet loose below a skin track on a steep southerly aspect - did not see other signs of wet activity.
