Unsupportive punch crust the whole way until ~6k’ which made for unpleasant skiing but above that the riding conditions were quite good. I dug a pit at ~6200 on a SE aspect slope and measured snowpack depth at about 80cm. There were ~5cm of new snow from today (increasing to >10 cm by late afternoon), then ~40cm of relatively dry snow from the recent storm cycle, ranging from F to 4F hardness; then moist, refrozen older snow down to ground. Snowpack seems generally right side up at this elevation. I isolated a column performed a CT with no results (no sudden collapse observed). It seems like this ongoing storm cycle is building on top of a solid base.
