Quick report
Had no signs of instability on a different nearby run that was NE facing but this run’s snow felt different (thicker) underfoot. We made a poor decision and got lured in by excellent riding conditions and no signs of instability elsewhere in the area.
Avalanche
E aspect at 6500’ in cement basin. Large avalanche skier triggered at 2:30pm Skier caught and buried chest deep and able to dig themselves out quickly. Broke down to the AR crust. Width: 40m Depth: 1.5-2 ft.
