Quick report

D2 Glide Avalanche

Avalanche

Witnessed the release of a D2 Glide Avalanche from rock face above Lake Ingalls (~4500ft). Most of the avalanche debris broke up but several large consolidated blocks remained and came to rest mid slope. No one was caught in this avalanche but the impacted slope is one of the options for transit around the lake or towards popular climbing routes in the Ingalls area. Hangfire from this Glide avalanche and another on an adjacent rock face exist and could impact travelers in the coming days.
