Skiing up in the trees at little st. Joe. The recent snowfall was around 12+ inches. I was seeking slightly steeper terrain to help stay on top of the snow. When I realized I was getting into slightly too steep of a slope I triggered a small avalanche right below my skis about 2 feet from me. The crown was maybe 5 feet across. I then worked to traverse to get out and a crack shot from my ski and triggered another avalanche 25 feet in front of me which was bigger, about a 20 to 30 foot crown. The depth of snow was about 12 inches which was all the fresh snow from the past 24 hours. No one was involved with the snow and we all managed to ski out and enjoy the rest of our day! Snow was good if not a little too deep for my skis!

2 smallish avalanches. Both were about 8 to 12 inches depth. The first had a crown that spanned about 5 feet and slid 20 feet down the slope. The second was larger with a crown about 25 to 30 feet wide and slid down the slope and off a steeper section that I could not see into.
