Quick report

Collapsing
isolated

Enjoyed first pow of the year at Lockwood this afternoon for some blower storm skiing. Road coverage is good for sledding in, although coverage is still thin and stumps are lurking. Skiing was great although slow going on lower angled terrain! Dug a pit ~6100’ ENE sheltered aspect on the primary skintrack. ECTN20 about 40cms down on the interface between storm snow and the old crust. Unconsolidated fist hardness down to the crust. Some isolated collapses but hard to tell how much due to snow structure vs stepping on shrubs. We did not encounter any wind loading although did not venture into the bowls or ridgeline.
