Quick report
Skied the Snot via Phantom, Exited via Snow/Source Lake. We booted ~1400ft from the Alpental parking lot until we were able to put skins on. Some combination of cloud cover and overnight temps had kept the snow very warm with no significant refreeze observed. Snow is very limited on southern aspects. A gentle breeze kept the snow surface cool for most of the day, limiting further wet avalanche activity. Snow was sluffing fairly aggressively in the couloir but lacked significant ability to entrain. The sun came out around 1:30pm as we were exiting. p.s. thanks so much to Dallas, Andy, Sam and all the other forecasters at NWAC for keeping us safe this year!
