East of Mt. Reesor

Skied in a bowl up the West Perry road. Dug a pit at treeline, Hs 220 cm. 5 cm light fast powder with surface hoar on top, then well consolidated snow down to a 1 cm ice crust at 90 cm down. CTM at 50 cm, planar. Couldn't get the ice crust to react even with lots of prying. Old debris from a size 2+ avalanche visible on west side of bowl.
