Toured up Holiday then connected with PCT to Gunsight ridgeline. Noticeable inversion throughout the morning - crisp snow at 4500, dense and wetter snow at 6000’. - Temps warmed from 32 at 4500’ (0900h) to 38 at 6000’ (1100h). Above 5000’, WNW 5-10 mph winds with intermittent gusts 15-25+ Skies were partially obscured in AM with an approaching cloud deck coming in from WNW in afternoon. - HS 125cm at Ginette Lake (5400’), 180cm at 5800’, 195cm at 6300’. - Observed intermittent snow transport on Gunsight south ridgeline and along the upper ridges of Miriam Creek drainage. Cornices above Gunsight bowl were consolidated and heavy but not hollow/firm. - Even with settling, still enough snow for the gusts to transport. When breaking trail, ski pen at 6-8” or more. Snow bombs were active after 1030h. Overall, a gorgeous day with no significant evidence of Red Flags, except for the warming trend.
