Snowpack

HS at pit location was measured at 238cm. Storm snow progressed from four finger hardness to one finger hardness down to a knife hard crust burried 90cm down, 150cm above the ground. We did not dig below the crust. The first 40-50cm of the snowpack were decomposing fragments approximately 1.5mm in size. Beneath that were 40-50cm of 1mm decomposing fragments. The storm snow appeared to be bonding well to the ice crust. The layer above the crust appeared to be rounding facets.
