Quick report
There was little snow left at the trailhead at 7365 ft. I decided to walk south along 88 to start directly on the road rather than risking it with the creek. I did return over the creek, but it was open and flowing in many places. On a northeast face, I saw an avalanched slope - probably from the last snowstorm - covered subsequently by runnels, then by some small rollerballs that traveled only halfway down the slope. Crater Lake was melting around the edges. Across the Lake, I saw some wet loose slides on east facing slopes. It was snowing at 8300 ft starting at 11:15 am. But lower, it was all rain back to the trailhead. The rain continued on my drive north over Luther Pass at about 12:30p until I descended the Meyers side, when it turned into wet snow.

It seemed colder at start than the temperatures indicated due to moderate winds at trailhead. It began to snow at 11:15am at 8300 ft.
Snowpack
I dug down on a south aspect at 8300 ft and found very wet snow with small crystals on top of a deeper layer which had fist hardness and large crystals. It was like shaved ice on top of sno cones. HS 58cm.
