Quick report

Temperatures were already very warm this morning when we showed up to the Tamarack Peak trailhead with the Slide Mountain sensor (9650') showing temps at 54 degrees.  Sun exposed East aspects had a 4'' melt-freeze crust that was 1F hardness with wet surface snow at 9:30am at 9000'.  Northerly aspects showed some softening in this area in the late morning hours and provided more supportable snow conditions, but not very smooth snow surfaces.  By 11am, at 9600' East aspects were just barely ski supportive, but not boot supportable.  Below around 9400', E and SE aspects were mostly unsupportable mush.
