Quick report
I went to Ophir Peak to make snowpack observations today. Up to 1 inch of new snow fell here last night with gale force SW/W winds. That was not enough snow to smooth out previous tracks throughout this area. On northerly aspects that had previous soft unconsolidated snow, the 1 inch improved snow surface conditions. The limited new snow was also not enough for wind to transport and form wind slabs of any meaningful size at this location. Variable snow surfaces continue to exist on most aspects and elevations. On isolated wind protected northerly aspects, previous cold soft snow can be found.
