Quick Observation

Wind driven snow @ treeline and above is the story. Surface ripples and tracks blown in as far down as the Mousetrap. Sheltered treeline had the best snow quality, with 30-40 cm of soft snow from the past few days. Just below the hut the wind effect became more pronounced on exposed features (see second pic). -4 deg at the hut at noon, moderate South winds. Near the Teradactyl (2270m) we cut a size 1 soft slab on a small roll over that had wind loading. Lots of good skiing if you have the viz!
