Quick report
Many tracks in the basin with very little new avalanche activity. Mainly 1-2 day old small slab and loose activity. Previous wind-affect was obvious, and skiing was good in low density dry snow in some areas but tougher in wind-affected and/or heavier south-facing snow.

Calm and clear with small amounts of high thin overcast beginning to cover the sun from midday. Hot in the sun, frigid in the shade. Long wave losses were cranking.
Snowpack
Some surfaces were slightly heavier and wind-affected, while others were low density powder. Layers in the top foot were well bonded. The thin 1/8 crust was noted around a foot deep. Steep south facing aspects were starting to get a tiny bit heavier as I exited around noon. Down by the lakes I found a steep south-facing slope already in the shade. A thin crust was noticeable at the surface, yet if you more throughly investigated there was a couple-mm thick dry layer of radiation recrstallization (near surface facets) at the surface and some small surface hoar as well.
Avalanche
Small old shallow wind slabs- some human trigger, some natural. Mainly 1-2 days old. Small dry loose with subtle sun influence on southerly slopes from previous day, although I exited at noon before peak intensity on some slopes. Where we traveled we didn't see or trigger any new avalanches today.
