Quick report
- Cracking
- isolated
We observed localized cracking along the ridge line in freshly wind-loaded pockets and the formation of thin wind skins in the 50’ of slope below. These pockets produced non consequential and easily triggered soft slabs avalanches that acted more like Dry Loose avalanches due to the unconsolidated surface snow. Winds were gusty in the morning and calmed throughout the day. Broken skies with intermittent light flurries of snow picked up later in the afternoon.
