No signs of instability observed. Challenging travel conditions due to low snow pack. No signs of instability above 3500 ft. Roller balls in some areas below cliff bands. Wind affect on snow observed on SW aspect of Avalanche Peak, near 5K ft elevation.

Snowpack

Snow depth of 60 CM @ 5K ft on SW face of Avalanche Mountain. 5 to 7 CM of soft (fist) on top of a stout rain crust. Multiple rain crusts and similar snowpack profile to Crystal Springs Sno Park observations.
