Quick report
Beautiful day at Hurricane Ridge with a fresh layer of new snow covering the bare ground or melt forms resulting from last weeks atmospheric river event. A few adventurous folks were skiing and riding in areas of deeper coverage but most were enjoying the sun and keeping it mellow with the shallow coverage. Rollerballs were releasing from rocky areas in the afternoon on southern slopes and surface hoar 2-3mm was observed in isolated northern aspects.

Calm and cold in the AM with increasing clouds in the afternoon. No precipitation
Snowpack
Shallow early season snowpack from 15-45cm depth. Shallow areas are 15cm recent snow from 12/7 covering bare ground and deeper areas are the same new snowfall above a strong crust with well settled melt freeze beneath.
