Sunset Mountain Road

Walked along and around the Sunset Mountain Road to see how the snow is falling. Traveled up to appx. 7400': *Appx. 20 cm of new snow total. Snow depths ranged from 55 cm (where the new snow was wind scoured down to a crust) and 108 cm on leeward slopes. * Found cracking (isolated) on small (but growing) cornices, 10-12 cm. No other cracking or collapsing. * Winds were actively transporting recent storm snow throughout the day. Expect increasing wind slab potential as this continues.
