Quick report
- Cracking
- widespread
- Collapsing
- isolated
There was a lot of cracking a movement in the top 4-8” of snow. Travelled primarily in terrain free of significant wind loading. Typical wet loose activity below 4000’ with the majority of trees releasing large amounts of snow between 7-8am. Above 4500’ snow was much drier and a distinctive slab in the recent storm snow slid easily on steep test slopes.
Avalanche
Observed several small dry loose natural releases from the rocky sections on the Kendall ridge. Large roller balls on the open section before Kendall Big Trees.
