Skied the Stem and Petal of Flower today. As expected the skiing was hard-breakable to boiler plate wind slabs in the alpine. Stem was in good condition for the boot pack, not so much for the way down. The same was observed in the petals, although there was an increase in the amount of facets underlying the wind slabs. In all alpine areas we experienced a 3-5cm wind slab/crust on top of facets. This layer sluffed with any turn or cut and ran on the crust but did not propagate, and was not of concern to us today, however with a little snow loading it could be an issue. Great climb and views, bad skiing! Stay safe out there everyone.
CTN on a test pit just below the couloir. Did observe one solar triggered sluff off of some rocks in the alpine bowl, however it did not step down or run far. No signs of instability while bootpacking, skinning or skiing.
