Tryst ridge

Tryst chutes have seen lots of traffic. We skied the south aspect slide paths back to commonwealth creek. Writing to note the significant variation in snow depth on this aspect. Probed between 60 and 200cms within very small distances and very shallow in some places where you might expect the trees to hold more snow. Found a well preserved crust in shallow snow depths only down 40 to 50 cms in upper half of avalanche track. Easy hand shears on this. Didn’t encounter any slab formation at this location.
