The storm continued throughout into the evening with lessening snowfall, and rapidly dropping temperatures. HS=60 at 2150 meters. The crust complex is buried by 6 cm of low density snow at the trailhead, and 18 cm at treeline. The crust is ~4 cm thick and mostly supportive to skis below treeline, and disappears above. Soft slabs were developing from light to moderate northerly winds, and unusual loading patters were noted throughout the area.
Snow conditions were: Crusty, Powder. Weather conditions were: Stormy. We rode: Mellow slopes, Open trees. We avoided: Steep slopes. Riding quality was good.
Storming S2 around noon, reducing to S-1 by 1400. Wind light from the N/NW, with gusts to moderate.
