Pump - Small Avi
Skiing was good. Wind affected areas were icy. Sunny slopes got less stable throughout the morning as the sun and weather warmed. A skier triggered a small single avalanche just below Pump peak. No injuries or partial burials.
Snow conditions were: Crusty, Powder, Wind affected. Weather conditions were: Sunny, Warm. We rode: Mellow slopes, Open trees, Sunny slopes. We avoided: Convex slopes, Steep slopes. Riding quality was good.
Avalache Conditions: 30cm + of new snow, or significant drifitng, or rain in the last 48 hours. Rapid temperature rise to near zero degrees or wet surface snow.
Small avalanche triggered by skier. Skier skied out and no issues. This was on the south sunny side of pump peak at about 10 am. The sun was quickly affecting southern slopes as the day warmed.
