Skied the north glacier on Collier this morning from 2900m. Lower glacier is thin, 15-30cm average snow depth on ice. At 2900m the snow depth went to 1+m, very hard slab over depth hoar on the ice. Our run still skied good considering the thin snow. Deeper powder conditions below the glacier in the shade and supportive crust with dust where the sun shines. Access was much better than we expected with the bushwhack area having a supportive crust in (7am) and out (noon). Weather was highly mixed: sunny, cloudy, warm, cold, 5 min snow storms - outside or rain I think we got it all today.
