Quick Observation
Sa&Su around Beekers hut. In general awesome riding conditions. 20cm+ of New Snow on top of crust (which wasn't that hard/icy/tricky to go) Pretty stable conditions lots of fun. Cold start into the day with -17° nice once you are in the sun.
Avalanche Information
Slab avalanches: Two size 1 slab avalanches observed in the whole area. Likely from wind loading. - 1 at the NE aspect of Steep Peak @2100m; Lee ward side of cliff. - 1 Rohrridge S aspect 100m below ridge line Loose Snow: Few size 1 loose snow avalanches in the area. Originated from rocky-sunny terrain. No ongoing avalanche activity while we were there. No crazy sluff behavior while skiing
Weather
Snowpack
ECTX... 20 cm of New Snow (F) on top of Crust (P) on top of an other 10 cm RG and crust compound... Some faceting ongoing around the crusts New Snow layer has no cohesive bonding; (but in the area in single spots wind created some small wind slab pockets) Not able to trigger some of the deeper layers within this well bounded crust compound Crust is likely o be more dominant in less shaded terrain.
