Fun in Simple Terrain

Due to the recent new snow, wind loading, and our remote-triggered avalanche from yesterday, we stuck to simple terrain… and got stuck in simple terrain as well. In the morning we observed a couple more natural avalanches from the recent storms on the east side of the highway. There are certainly some facets in the lower snowpack layers - that was evident in our trenches when we got stuck.
