2020 11 24, 12:27pm elev 2219m aspect N, incline 28 air temp - 7.4, sky Overcast, precip less than 1, light winds from northwest, hs 98cm, type full, Site tree line shoulder minimal sun affect prone to wind affect. Dug a full profile and performed a few tests after, picture of notes above. Results Ectn20 down 40 on facets .5-2 Br Ctm18 down 40 on facets .5-2 RP Pertinant info, snow pack seems to be holding rounds in thicker areas while the temps are still mild. Faceting present with a large tempature gradiant under the Nov5th crust which was 60cm down and 5cm thick, there is another weaker crust just below creating a facet sandwich mid snowpack. The Nov5th crust remained dormant and strong atm with the instability bieng in new storm snow 40cm down from the last week which remained stable in supported terrain, but unsupported terrain features were touchy to skier traffic.
