Extended column test had collapsing storm snow under the shovel. No propagation or failure across column. Column test smooshed down until tap #30 when the block failed on a crust down 100cm at the base of my pit. Easy hand shears in storm snow on steeper side hills and banks. Skied mellow trees and nothing to write home about. Nice skiing the steeper stuff back to the resort, minor sluff in between wind rows. Surface hoar 1-2mm growing on north aspect below ridge line around 2000 down to 1800ish.
