Moderate West winds shifted to the north at 1300 hrs. Temperature plummeted to -18 C at 14030 hrs.
CTE NR East facing, 30 degree slope, 2130 m 20 -25 cm storm on top of series of wind slabs. No avalanches observed but visibility was limited. Test slope felt bomber, though snowpack was variable and punchy at mid mountain elevations in alpine track zones. Previous wind slabs were observed to be an ideal bed surface for storm snow as we observed consistent sluffing skiing the steeper slopes at tree line and alpine. Ski quality was best on lower, mellow slopes where wind had leas affect.
