It’s a weird day to bail?

<p>Got out for an easy day at Emerald Lake slide path and surprisingly ended up turning around at 2010m. Meandered up the Christmas trees on the left side of the path and experienced a couple whumpfs which had us investigate a bit & turn around to lap the bottom bench. Not what we expected! Ski quality was alright. ~15cm of fresh storm snow on supportive but icy crust. The warm weather & decent sun had us cursing our baselayers. Cooler weather & scattered flurries rolled in as we left at ~3:30pm and the top <1cm of warmed up storm snow was already making a move to being crusty. </p>

Convex slopes.

Whumpfing or drum-like sounds or shooting cracks.

Snow Conditions

Crusty, Heavy.

Weather Conditions

Cloudy, Sunny, Warm.
