Plan A,B,C

Plan A was thawed by the closure, so we went for plan B up towards lookout col. Bailed on this option after seeing far more snow than forecast at 1850m and not being able to see up from down. After a warm lunch in the car we went for plan C to NRC gullies. Should have done this from the start. Made it to 2250m before calling it a day after seeing up to 40cm of wind load and a much stiffer slab. Got moderate results down 40cm with our tests. HS was 180cm, exciting! Of note there was a large slide (2.5?) That had ran well below treeline overnight buried by a light dusting. Couldn't see the crown with the cloud. Plenty of tracks around but plenty of space for more too!
