Good old Fraser
Yukon Field Team,

We had 20 recent cm's, -5 and overcast skies out there today with no new avalanches observed.
We found the persistent weak layer (facets and a crust) 115 cm deep where we dug on a North aspect at 1200 m. We didn't get any significant test results on this layer today, but we are not ruling out the possibility of it being reactive and producing large avalanches. While we're still gaining information, we are avoiding areas where the weak layer could be shallower and easy to trigger, like steep rocky slopes near ridgecrest.
Total snow depth was 200, hooray.
